Hey friends! You all know about my passion for health & well-being. And likely you know that self-care is at the top of the list of things we do to stay healthy and on top of our game. But did you also know that there is a deep connection between altruism and health? Altruistic (other-regarding) emotions and behaviors are associated with greater well-being, health, and longevity. So taking care of ourselves AND doing good for others both lead to greater health and well-being.
With that in mind, I'd like to invite you to SELF-CARE SUNDAY, an event I'm co-hosting with two talented women who also work in the health & well-being space. SELF-CARE SUNDAY is a virtual workshop that includes yoga, healthy cooking, skincare, and meditation. Your tax-deductible donation supports Dine11SF (a non-profit focused on food insecurity I helped start back in March when this pandemic was really starting to take hold) and is your ticket to this virtual event.
You can find all the event details and sign up by clicking here.
Tell your kids or your partner, your boss or your mom that you're off the clock for an hour and a half and join me. Or, invite them to join us in some self-care themselves! I truly believe that self-care is collective care and by taking care of ourselves, we can do the work the world needs from us. Hope to see you Sunday, October 25th! Send me any questions or comments below.
